This phenomena you speak of is wholly ironic, when you stop to consider that Jesus was actually a rebel in his time while conservatives, by most any definition, are not. In fact, a conservative may be defined as one who lives and votes with one foot on the ground to keep the room from moving, all the while failing to realize that the room is moving because the earth turns on its axis and no amount of foot dragging is going to change that.
Seriously: I hope you will read a copy of John Dean's book, "Conservatives Without Conscience." This book will answer your questions and I HOPE encourage dialog among "conservatives" & "liberals" alike. Good Luck!

Because He is. He'd choose the right way, wouldn't He? Most of the poor are poor because they choose to be. They look forward to a nice "program" or such, to pull them up from poverty, no? What happened to "Help Themselves."? The "rich" already pay a MAJORITY of the taxes in this great country. For what? I'll tell you for what. To fund "programs". JJ has really gottten to you, hasn't he? God bless America.

If anything, he was a Socialist. I guess. Actually, he was strictly non-political, and said so. "my kingdom is not of this world." The hypocritical buffoons on the religious stations are just talking smack, as usual. What a bunch of hypocritical liars! Jesus would rip off their jewels, wigs, and designer clothes and chase the whole bunch out of the temple.

Jesus was definitely a Republican. He hung around with a bunch of long-haired religious fanatics, he lived with his mama until he was in his thirties, half the government hated him, and he was always sitting on his a** whenever something needed to be done.

I don't think Jesus should be used for political gain, no matter if a televangelist says so.

I believe that if Jesus stuck to the beliefs of true equality, unconditional love, and loving neighbor as yourself...well then, he couldn't choose any vicious political party could he?

cause they have the wrong idea about jesus. if he were anything, he'd be a card carrying democrat. i think he already dealt w/ republicans & he didn't seem too fond of them; only in his day they were called pharisees.
