I cannot give you a scientific answer to that question. But I have found the perfect candle. The candle company is called goldcanyon candles. You can do a search to find a local distrubutor or buy directly from them. A few years ago, I was disturbed at the low ineffective scents that candles provide and did a search. I even made some on my own and still did not have a lasting scent. A friend introduced me to gold canyon candles. They are more expensive than a Wal-Mart candle but you always get what you pay for. The scent literally makes your whole house smell good and it's lasting. They have at least 200 if not more different scents. Another great last candle scent that is a lot more inexpensive is called Sugar Shack Country Candles. Made in Edgar, Nebraska. There are lots of sites on search engines for people buying and re-selling. It's a whole lot of scent for a great price. I emailed them awhile back trying to figure out if the candles on ebay were made by the same person and that is when they informed me that many people buy and resell. Honestly you can't go wrong with gold canyon or sugar shack candles. Remember that sugar shack candles are much cheaper and have only a limited amount of scents but still the scents are wonderful and smell up your whole house to the point where after you extinguish it the scent stays or even when you walk by it before lighting the scent lingers around. You will be very pleased :)

Try White Barn Candles / Yankee Candles I've never had that kind of problem with them, and they come in many great scents!
