I dont like it either, Im like you, I have never had a cavity, and they tell me that every time I go. But you have to go unfortunatley, because plaque can build up and make tartar, and only the dentist can get tartar off you teeth. But you should go just in case there is a small cavity forming so they can take care of it before it gets to be a problem (dont ask, the dentist told me this lol). Well good luck at the dentist, hope you still have no cavities. Lol.

Let me ask you all something. Should you only go to the doctor if you are sick? The answer to that should be NO. Your physician would reccommend regular check-ups (check your blood pressure, check your heart...etc. ) The same thing also goes with your dentist. Plaque and calculus are not the only oral problems checked at the dentist office. I have found at least 3 to 4 cancer cases in my 5 years as a dentist with no symptoms. Oral cancer is deadly in most cases and while rare is important to diagnose early. Dentists are responsible to diagnose pathology of the jaws and teeth. We are more than just cleanings, extractions and fillings. It is sad that most people view dentists in this way. There are some money-hungry dentists out there as in any profession but seeing your dentists for regular check-ups even if nothing is wrong is very important.
good luck

Yes, you should go. It's good that you're brushing all the time... but as you get older it will become more important to have all of your teeth and not look like a monster. Plus... let me tell you about this guy that I know. I worked with him and he had terrible teeth from not going to the dentist to get his teeth cleaned. He was an "adult" but he could have used your mom to help him get there, because... (I kid you not, dude) this guy has the worst breath in the world. Sure, part of it is good genes and other stuff you don't have much control over but -- this guy's breath smelled from down the hall and around the corner. My point? Just go to the dentist -- and enjoy getting out of going to school.

As a dentist i would like to say visiting a dentist is not waste of time>>>your checking out you state of health mean the level of micro-organism in Ur mouth....and if you think there is not cavity in your teeth there is something called hidden cavities which we as dentist say secondary caries.... under restorations>.....
and one more thing...must check Ur teeth every 6 month

Yes. Brushing does not get everything. There could also be growth issues. Go to the dentist, open when he says open, spit when he says spit. This is such a trivial thing to be worried about. You could be going for a tooth extraction.

Heck ya! Go now while your parents pay for your teeth to be cleaned because when you are older you might not have insurance or be able to afford to go. The cleaning of your teeth helps get rid of that nasty plaq stuff that turns yellow. There is nothing more attractive than a supper white smile with nice straight teeth. Go get them cleaned!!

Heck yeah. Brushing your teeth is not enough. It is important that you see your dentist and get your teeth cleaned professionally every six months. It is called preventative maintainence. You should be glad that you are cavity free. Me personally, I see my dentist once every three months. Peace and God bless.

Yes, you should go. Your teeth can develop plaque and tartar that can only be removed by a dentist. If you don't get it removed, your gums can become diseased and your teeth could fall out. Just do it.
