Yes. I classify all body piercings as abuse of the body. God did not intend for it to be so. He has already put holes in our bodies where they are needed.

No. But clitoral and penile piercings sure are!! My older sister is into S & M big time with her husband, and I keep on telling her I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE, WHERE!!!, but she always has to tell me. I've even pulled the lalalalalala hands over my ears trick in order not to hear her.

No it is not abuse of the body. I have a naval piercing and it is not abusing my body. If I was main lining heroin that would be abusing my body not a piecing.

Pretty much, yeah. Any time you punch an unnecessary hole in your body, it's abuse.

But you'll find that people WITH piercings do not agree. I think they just don't want to or can't come to grips with the whole 'self mutilation' thing.

Since you put it under the category of Religion and Spirituality - by Christian standards it would be abuse of the body. What standards were you questioning?

No I think it's pretty. Abusing your body is like self mutilation and purposely burning or cutting yourself.
