First of all we work together, so coming right out and asking would be awkward, though it is my preferred approach. She stops by to say hello and I am completely out of the way. She asked me to help her plan a huge project involving traveling together abroad for 11 days. I asked her to go to happy hour/dinner she seemed very enthused. We planned it for 2 weeks out (do to schedule conflicts on her end) and during "happy hour" she was answering calls for where she was going next. I offered to extend the evening but she declined even though her other plans fell through; though she did send a text message early the next morning saying thanks. She still wants me to watch her dog this weekend. Oh we are both single but I am a bit older than she is. 23 vs 35 but for the first time in a long long time I feel there is magic in the air. Her smile, sparkling eyes, and laughter bring me to my knees. Now I can't sleep. She is leaving town for the long weekend. Should I bring it up before she goes?

She probably feels awkward about pursuing a relationship with a co-worker.

You should just come straight out and ask her if she would consider exploring a relationship with you.

You sound quite smitten. Good luck!

Why don't you wait till she returns from her trip? That way you can get a feel for her, see if she's just being friendly since she is working with you on a project.... You know? A little time apart can help you see what is what. If she returns and is right by your side first thing in the morning, and not bringing up work first, that could be a hint. ;-) Go slow.

I'm advising you be careful though coz it is a JOB and she is a coworker...and it could just be your closeness from working on the project. Well, again, good luck.

If you are interested in her, ask her out again. If you still feel she is interested in you, tell her how you feel. There is nothing wrong with starting a friendship relationship that may bloom into more. She may feel funny about dating a co-worker because if things go awry, then they could be awkward in the workplace. If it is meant to be, waiting until after she returns from her long weekend will be fine.

I so know how it is to be in love. The problem is...wether she likes you too. The age difference might be a problem. I can see you being 6 or 7 years older tops, but it could be a problem. She might know you like her, and so she might be using you knowing this. i'm not being negative about some things for my health. i just know what it was like to like someone who didn't like me back. and she used me not meaning to. Don't be too eager to help her all the time. You are a nice guy it seem's. i would wait a little while longer to see how she reacts to you. good luck!

Yes, since you're getting a few conflicting signals there, it would be best to know up front what she's thinking. Be careful, though, cuz she kind of sounds like a player, with the answering calls while you were out with her.

leap guy leap , grab her hand , hug her and kiss her now , in any different case it will be too late , she has shown all the indicators , that she initiate liking you , bypass and notice her canines , spend high quality time along with her , help her in cooking , putting a table , recommend her to cook dinner at the same time and make it a factor to have dinner along with her , do exactly it now .
