Are Americans prepared to do some Hard Labor?

This is a serious question, and please answer it with out all the insults and stereotypes. If all the illegals go back to Mexico will the Americans step up to the plate and start working in the hot sun in the crops, will they do all the constuction work, will they scrub toilets and clean other peoples houses, how about wash dishes in a restaraunt? better yet will you work for minimum wage or below. Granted that some might already do these jobs, but why do you think the mexicans do all of these jobs? because nobody else wants to!

And by the way... illegals do pay taxes. Many businesses hire illegals willingly to exploit them, and they withhold taxes just like any one else.

What happens to all that Money?

There have been guest workers from Mexico in this country for decades. That would not change. We know who they are and where they are. They are here to work and then go home. They make no claims on the US. So your argument is full of holes. sorry......my opinion to deport illegals still stands.

You are missing the point. If a job is hard and no one wants to do it then the wages should reflect that. Yes americans would step up if cleaning toilets paid what it is worth. The guy who is having someone else clean his toilet is using that person. Would someone on equal footing with that person clean his toilet, perhaps but there would have to be somekind of reward like i don't know good money or great sex, life long security and good health care. Everybody wants to play baseball so why do we pay them more than the toilet cleaner. In a truly free market the poop jobs pay well, and thus get eliminated by machinery, and nicer jobs and fewer hours per week jobs apear. Every Holy book says share but once people get they do not want to share that is where government is suposed to step in like parents who tell the big child to share with the weaker sibling. As long as there are users there will be losers. The point is stop the users not fight with the other losers and all workers are losing, If there were no users there would be no losers. This by low sell high needs to be regulated. In the long run it is not good for the whole. Ask the right questions to get the right solutions. Most Holy books say the charging of interest is wrong. It is wrong in lotsa ways, investors should be paid but not more than toilet cleaners.

I think that we will be. America has its problems just like any other country. But one of the things that makes America great is that when something actually needs to get done Americans do it. If there were no illegals then this would force people to pay a higher wage. This stimulates the economy. We may pay more for items but we have more money coming in due to the economy being stimulated. So we have higher prices but people are making more so it will pan out. I see people of all races doing the jobs you mentioned. If the illegals were not here to do those jobs then people would not be able to pay less then minimum wage.Once again prices would be raised on some items but people would be better able to afford them

There will be more than enough mexicans in our country to help the rich..... if the illegals were not here MANY of the jobs would pay much better than minimum wage...maybe a very few illegals pay taxes but we both know MOST work for cash, the few taxes illegals pay don't come close to their cost to middle-class Americans, Something you did not mention is what illegals are doing to our school system..when you have to start with the very basics of existence (bathing, flushing the toilet, no guns,etc) for illegals & children of illegals it's hard to teach algebra to American children.....get my drift? You and your kind are not civilized enough to "assimilate" into our society!

Well, I certainly am. I wouldn't mind at all to do dirty work. Besides, during the summers, I helped my grandfather and cousins work with the crops, my grandmother has a hotel and I used to help out by washing dishes and cleaning toilets and tubs. Honestly, I wouldn't mind all this... as long somebody does something so the minimum wage can be normal for everyone. By the way, it's not the illegals fault but the corporations fault.

the cop orate farms will use the machines instead of human labor....most illegals do unskilled labor..not skilled construction jobs..if they do..some American had to spend time and money to teach them. Dishwasher jobs could go to prison release programs and . It's been proved time and time again that illegals cost this nation a lot more then they put back in. Have some respect and be humble. i have been a construction worker for 14 years and yes i work in the hot sun all day as well as even hotter attics occasionally. the problem with immigrants doing these jobs for less money is that it drives down an american man or womans wage. we wind up with less earning potential because an immigrant will do a job for two dollars less an hour than joe american. and of course its in an employers best interest to pay as little as possible to get the work done. thats like taking food off MY family's plate.

We were doing that long before they came here. Americans don't mind doing hard backbreaking, humiliating work. If I see a man in a mall shining someones shoes, then I know he wouldnt mind cleaning toilets and cutting grass, etc. Most illegal immigrants work for lower than minimum wage, and its not fair to people who actually want a job even if it involves backbreaking hard labor.

thats a fair question i already do the construction work and have been for 30 yrs and if you think the work you get from most illegals is the quality you're paying for it is enough said hope your house doesn't fall in on you and i hope you don't care about resale value

I don't think the average white boy living on dads money or "gidget" white girls can do hard labour. The Average american white needs illegals cause he can't get the blackman to do the work. The black got tired of pickin cotton and white man hasn't done any picking since they landed on Plymouth rock. Its funny how the white man couldn't even get the native american to pick fruit for him.
