Yes, if we could educate the public on mental illness so that they better understood what schizophrenia is and isn't. Too many people think that people with schizophrenia are dangerous. Too many people do not understand that schizophrenics are NOT the same multiples (multiple personality d/o or DID). If they knew more, then it would be easier for people to be out in the open and not stigmatized.

As much as I hate to say this, no. The stigmatism that's attached to this disorder makes it very unacceptable to be open about it in our society today. Too many movies have over-dramatized some of the symptoms and have made those who suffer from it seem like they'll attack or "flip out" at any moment. Sad, but true.
