Why do people put salt on sunflower seeds if they only eat the inside?

How weird is that?

You've all got a point. I do like sucking onthem then cracking them for what's inside. =) Delight comes in small ways.

I love sunflower seeds, I have some right now. I wish I could share them with you, but I don't know where you live.

That's the best part of it, you pop it in your mouth for the salty taste then eat the inside. Plain ones taste yucky.

RE: the thank you to prepare dinner/salt sunflower seeds? So I had some sunflowers that grew in my exterior, at last the leaves became brown and the petals on the flower heads fell off, besides via fact the little issues on the ends of the seeds. How long do they must dry for, and then how do I cause them to salted like those interior the luggage?

The people don't salt the seeds, they come presalted from the packager. The fun of it is when you put the seeds in your mouth, suck off the salt, then spit out the hull and enjoy the kernel. (The seeds were salted by soaking them in a salty brine solution, then drying them.)

When you crack it you usually put it in your mouth. The salt comes off and when you eat the seed, you might still taste the salt , so it's like adding flavor. :)

You don't take them out of the shell before you put them in you month. Just grab a handful and put them in your mouth, splitting them open with your teeth, and you'll understand the purpose of seasoning the shell.

they do this because most people like to suck on the out side i no i do. also it seeps in the cracks there for getting the seed salty

The whole point of it is to add flavor. Just like they have bbq flavor seeds and ranch flavor seeds. I like mine plain.
