As a believer in the one true Deity, the FSM (pesto be unto His Noodley Appendage), I once had a co-worker compare trying to convert someone to his version of Christianity to using the Heimlich maneuver on a stranger you saw choking. And while I had to compliment him on the interesting analogy, I also pointed out that if I wasn't ACTUALLY choking and he grabbed me like that I'd give him a beat down of biblical (just for his benefit) proportions, then I offered him a heartfelt "Ramen" and wished him well.

I find difficult to believed that especially a girl?, Woman?, female?, can write something like that, though its comprehensible, and I am trying, simply because in my mind, there is a reason for man's and woman's to get together and and follow God desires for then the two of then to become, achieved and accomplish. Since very Young, I dream with having the perfect and beautiful wife, that will allow me to please HIM(God), and not just my self. As I grow-up. I learn that there was a lot more to been marry, than just sex, and so on. I was happy until he said and ask me, what about if I ask you to come to me and give me your wife, after you live with her this your life time. I though he was joking then I find out he was serious, so afdter some thinking I ask, why?, and then he said, because I whan you to go back to earth and find another wife and do the same thing, although this time you can keep her. I though for a while and then I say, to HIM, Okay, find that is it, if that what will take me to get to heaven I accept. I am 54, now, and I tell you I have learn so much I don't think I need a wife, although I respect Woman's, do I don't understand then, though HIM(God), has keeping me very Happy, by the way I am 100% man, I havea Son that is already 30, do Ihave never been able to feel very happy with a Woman, though he my know something I don't know, and I believed that if such a Womanhas to come, I will not pick her, HIM(God), will put her in my path. And I am a firm believer, as well than I believed there is a reson for life, for HIM, and for his plans. perhaps Eternity, happiness and Love. I understand you now, although I can't coomprihend what you are saying.

A good honest question, well first of all, I wouldn't dare tell someone they're going to hell, or that I'm trying to save them from hell, I do think that's insulting to people who genuinely are trying to live good lives. I think religion is best shared by close friends and simple acts of "this is the basics of what I believe, if you want to find out more, let me know."
But to answer your question about why I would care about sharing what I believe with perfect strangers is because I've been taught that were all (spiritually speaking) brothers and sisters, and that evokes in me a sense of love for everybody.

Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the VICTIMS (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there busily recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

I can't speak for anybody else, but here's what I have to say:
You've heard the expression, "Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy" used to describe alot of things. I would say that, in the case of hell (which my branch of Christianity see's as eternity of suffering in fire that puts off no light, feeling isolated and alone except for the demons there to torment you) fits into the description of something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And as you say, I don't even know you, so if I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy, then surely I wouldn't wish it upon you either.
On top of which, the more people end up in heaven, the more people I get to know in heaven! An eternity is a very long time to spend with the same 25 people, lol.

I don't know you, but I believe God created you with purpose and only He can reveal that purpose to you. With the power of God working in your life, you could heal someone of cancer, bring food to a starving population, transform the life of a criminal, or some other great work. So it's not just about saving you from hell, it's also about enlarging Christ's authority here on earth. Although some have done horrible things and used His name falsely, His true authority is always to heal, restore, bring light and truth to the world.
Ephesians 1:11, 18 - In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will; ...The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
Christ gave himself up to save sinners. We who believe are supposed to emulate Christ - this is obviously no easy task and most Christians fail miserably at it. However, when you experience His mercy and grace, you have a desire that others know it, too. Jesus left us with a great commission and we have to get over our selfish nature to achieve it...
Mark 13:37 - For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

The Lord loves all people. I'm not here to convert you, because you can make your own choices in faith.
Hell is not a fun place, it is my prayer no one goes there. You know right from wrong, so chose well.
The bible doesn't tell anyone to be "saved" either. That is a human term.

I am a Christian and I am not actively trying to convert you but I have to say the fact you are a human makes me care. I would be willing to risk my own life for anothers. If you saw a person stepping into the path of a car wouldn't you pull them to safety? Human Compassion?

That's a good question. But i think you should further narrow that down to the evangelicals and other extremist factions of christianity. Not all christians are like that.
I'm not a christian, just so that's clear.
And do you notice how they like to use subtleties to try to convert people without actually blatantly telling you to convert?

I echo this question, these people do not know us, nor do they know our quality of life. We may be living healthy good natured lives in joy and happiness without their religion yet they seem to want to convert us without finding out whether we want or even need it. And the premise of hell is their own belief, to believe we are going to hell we would have to believe in your religion, and our lack of that is our cause for going to hell, so on our terms there is no reason for us to discontinue our faithless habits because they have nothing to be feared from in our world nor nothing we cannot achieve without them. But still they try
