you might want to ask your docter about depression, also eat more chocolate and peanut butter, these foods increase the serotonin in your brain that makes you more happy. also exersize and singing helps too! i hope you get better, god bless you!

You have just mentioned you do not need a counsellor, what I want to re enforce is that having a counsellor does not mean you are mad or anything. They are simply there to listen without judging you, and help you to sort out your feelings and support you. Trust me it is very helpful, quite painless, and total confidentiality is respected. Much better then taking medication and struggling on with out help. You have already begun the journey by recognising that you have issues from your childhood. Give it a go, you never know might be the best thing you have ever done. Good luck!

kayla, there is no such thing as a loser its impossible. everyone has a talent everyone can make contributions in this world. even giving up your seat for a grumpy old person on the bus can inspire ppl. the mere ability to cry is given as a way of releasing the stress of life. you are a beautiful person if you werent you would not be alive.
childhood affects all living creatures later lives, early experiences form our basic personality. as you age you will understand.
i wish i could be your ear, being a fighter always helped me. whenever i feel bad or have a problem or just fall out with someone i either use humour or anger(not violence)but passionate obstinence.

Have you thought of Hypnotherapy? It can be very good sor self esteem and self worth issues. confidence etc.
Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy applying various therapeutic techniques, such as suggestion, guided imagery and metaphor, while you are under hypnosis. Combining a naturally relaxed yet focused state of mind under hypnosis and subtle therapeutic techniques, hypnotherapy can help you to achieve your goals, enhance your confidence, change unwanted habits and improve your outlook on life for the better.

Hypnoanalysis is an effective choice of therapy to address: irrational fears and phobias, panic attacks, anxiety, relationship difficulties, psycho-sexual problems, lack of confidence, moodiness, sleeping difficulties, inferiority complex, enuresis (bed wetting), emotional problems, and most other problems where there are psychological factors at work. Hypnoanalysis tends to get to the root cause of a presenting difficulty so substitute symptoms are far less likely.

ok i think once and a while we all get a lil bit of a self esteem problem ... as a child i was kinda known as the girl who looked anorexic or the girl that was really skinny but the fact was that i ate alot but i had a fast motabalism .... and me knowing that i was really thin made me think that i could wear certain things because it would make me look to bony or summin so i basically juss wore baggy clotheas but i think the best thing to do is to just talk to someone about it ... like maby i should talk to a friend or maby a theripist or sumthing .. alot of people dont really like doing that beacause they usually are in deniel but its good that u recognize that u need help juss sit down and talk about it im sure youll feel alot better..

i know how that feels.. i recently started college, and it is hard to feel secure with who you are. honestly, i think the best thing is to remember that there are other people that feel like you do.. you aren't the only one and don't have to let that isolate you.. i can tell you that i often feel the same way, and it is a struggle to come to terms with who you are and that being good enough. i promise you that you have a lot of amazing qualities, because everyone does.. if other people don't appreciate them it isn't your fault.. some people are more superficial (i'm not just talking about how you look) and less focused on important things... just remember that you aren't alone in feeling this way...

i too have issues with self esteem. i deal with it differently than most others. i am out going and funny. so people want to be around me. but i choose to be by myself. i have few close friends.kinda like a pity party for me. counseling has helped me realize that i can be a good friend and has helped me let people get to know the real me. sometimes it is hard to be vulnerable , but the rewards are well worth it.

Try subliminal music. Its only a few dollars, is proven to reduce stress and can actually work out for some people if they use it often enough. try subliminalsales.com they have $3 programs and you can download your music right away. There is something for self confidence on their products page. Its either that or therapy which will cost alot more...

I believe everyone goes through the same thing. Please look after yourself and seek friends who will uplift you and encourage you all the way..I am not that religious but one suggestion would be to lift up your self-esteem to the Lord Jesus Christ and let him help you. You won't lose anything by trying this. Take care and be strong. You are not alone.
