I recently purchased the Sedu Hair straightner off Folica.com, it was a little pricey, but totally worth it! It works wonders! They show you before & after pictures on the website and they werent joking, this thing works! I have really thick hair with a lot of wave, and this makes my hair really soft and silky and most importantly straight! It also doesnt get as frizzy in the humidity.

I'd go for GHDs for hair straighteners.

Dove's straightening product is FABULOUS! there is also a straightener you can use while your hair is wet (I think by Conair) that is good.
