Just say too late boy, better luck next time, but try not to be so hard on him, maybe you just didn't express yourself clearly enough or maybe he was just afraid to have his hearth broken.

TELL HIM THAT WHAT ONCE WAS WILL NEVER BE, WHEN YOU WANTED HIM HE WASN'T TOO BEAT,AND NOW THAT YOU ARE OVER HIM AND MOVED ON,HE WANT TO COME BACK CRAWLING IN YOUR ARMS, WELL TELL HIM THAT IT'S TOO LATE,THAT YOU ARE NOT INT RESTED ANYMORE AND IF HE CAN HANDEL BEING YOUR FRIEND WELL THEN THAT'S WHAT IT IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE...

Just say, "EWE!" and run like hell.

He'd get the message pretty quickly that you're not in tah' him.
