Safe yes but I heard they don't brown as well and flimsy so you need a flat sheet below.
More hassle than quick and easy cleanup advantages.
Don't waste your money on them as they are best suited for oven mitts, spatulas and cookie flat sheet use.

In all the tests that they've run on it, nothing has come up that hasn't been said about everything. Teflon and Silicon are odd things to use while cooking tho, i really don't see that use. Now they're even being used in carpets, not right. I just use cast iron (i think) cooking-ware. I try to avoid all things coated in teflon and silicon, its not that hard.

it is pretty safe. however you might encounter some health hazards from the item you're eating in and of itself. like aunt maude's cupcakes.
