Thank you as I am presuming someone has attempted to insult my faith with such a term not knowing that I am a Catholic. LOL I wonder where he got that idea.

Let me add that I mean no insult to Muslims as I respect them and their faith. I just honestly had never heard the term and was unsure of it's meaning.

A rag head is a very impolite term for someone who wears a turban. I believe that it is sometimes applied to British soldiers who have served in Iraq as well, though in that case it is merely insensitive.

I presume that your respondent was referring to the fact that your picture shows a head covering.

Well a rag head as I understand it is a most derogatory term to describe a member of one of the Cultures of the east that traditionally covers their head with cloth as a religeous expression and probably evolved from the need for head protection from the environment. Some countries traditionaly have males wearing wraps around the craniums in swirls while other arab nations may wear head coverings secured with head bands. Some soldiers serving in the east may express their mission as supressing or terminating rag heads,, though not all those wearing such head garb would be considered enemies. Just as not all camel jockeys are enemy terrorists or not all rag headed camel jockeys are enemies or even adversaries however after they read this they might become a bit uneasy with the expressions. Points made and many former camel jockeys now travel in airconditioned Mercedes as the God lord saw fit to place so much Texas oil beneath Arabian sands, god what would Te Lawrence think reading this nonsence? Well you get the idea!

Other ways, Reverend? Only one way that I know of. Ask yourself "Who am I?" Do not ask anyone else. All else is a variation of this question. One can start out asking some other question, but eventually the question does become this one. The question has a history older than spoken or recorded history and the result is always the same. Eventually, to genuine askers, the answer becomes so obvious that he/she will never need a pastor again. The very idea or concept of a "pastor" will come to seem like a hoax played out on him/herself. There are no answers of any usefulness found anywhere else outside asking oneself. With this answer the question of "proof" is moot. Other's claims based on belief or even their personal faith cannot be falsified - and who would want to - as they are also personal and in response to their own search. You may think you have a better answer, but you only have your answer. Leave others strictly alone, and if you really asked that question seriously, you will naturally want to leave others alone - unless they ask as you have done here. You will understand both the meanness and the futility of any religious agenda. You will be flattened by the authentic sense of compasion. Talk about it? Don/t bother because words are only concepts based on yet other concepts. God realization is not a concept. Words are only pointers at best. In reality, you have said nothing. If you really are a Reverend, then your best help for your flock would be to answer their questions with a steady loving gaze and complete silence. That should do until you and they get the hang of it. Good Luck. Check that you are still breathing...you have just found god if you are.

A raghead is an Arab, not an Indian. Saudi Arabians are known for wearing a red and white keffiyeh on top of their heads that looks like a giant rag, ergo the name.

the term "raghead" has its origins in Yemen, as Muslim ,ales must always have there heads covered and Yemen was a poor country the men would cover their heads with any bit of rag that came to hand. The epithet now refers to all residents of that area the men are ragheads and the ladies Guinness bottles.

Rag heads has nothing to do with the catholic religion. It is a derogatory name for someone of Middle-Eastern descent. It is sometimes also referred to as a diaper head.
