Perhaps you should try to steer her away from entertainment by showing her how desirable other professions are. Prohibiting her is a bad road to go down, she'll resent you for it and will likely do it anyway. As a parent, your job is to give her as much information and options as possible and coach her on decisionmaking, but in the end you should let her decide.

I have a daughter and no she can not become a model or actress. What she does when she is an adult is her choice, but while she is my responsibility I won't allow it. There are too many terrible people in that industry.

No I would not let them not at the age they are now 8years and 2 years. Maybe when they are older but I feel the same way. Let kids be kids. I am sure they would miss friends and just doing normal kid things that most child models and actress don't do.

If I had a daughter, she could do as she chose when she turned 18.
Before that, she could join her school drama club, take drama lessons, and maybe even participate in community theater productions. And that's it.
I live in NYC and I've worked in the entertainment business. It is no place for children.

No because its a high risk gamble and very delusional; it takes hard work, years, money, and talent to get into the Hollywoood elite and I'm not entirely sure that the risks are worth the rewards.

Well, not really, but if she becomes interested in modeling, I think I would encourage her behavior, but then again, I'd still keep her controlled

It depends on what organization she is working for. Are we talking PBS or HBO? Cherokee or Calvin Klein?

If that's what she wanted to do I would support her but I would also see to it that she received a good education as well

when she turns 18 she can do whatever she wants with her life. You can't do anything to stop her, she's an adult and it's her life.
