because I found out yesterday that a guy I have loved and adored for 3 years is engaged. We dated and he meant so much to me.

My hearts sinking and I feel like crying. I really don't know what to do.

He was a Godsend. He was one of those people you meet and you know they are from God. We had some sort of connection, and now he'll never be mine.

I don't know how to feel better. Please help me.

Well if you knew him for three years and you just found out he's engaged then you were not that important to him. And NEVER cry over someone that would not cry over you.

He was NOT a godsend, and the quicker you realize that, the better off you will be.

He was a liar and a cheater and he MADE you "the other woman" he was dating someone else the time you were together. This guy STINKS.

Time will help you get over this, but you need to realize there is no knight in shining armor here. He's a louse and you should be happy that YOU aren't stuck with the cheater for the rest of your life. he did YOU a favor. Cry all you want, eat ice cream, watch chick flicks with your friends, then GET OVER IT.

You WILL find someone who IS meant for you, and truly is a godsend, but this was NOT the one.

this happened to me too, and unfortunately there isn't any way to instantly feel better. the best advice i can give you is just because it is definitely over for the two of you, don't let yourself get stuck thinking that it's over for YOU. i'm sure it feels like he was the be-all-and-end-all for you, but that just means you haven't met your real 'the one' yet. don't worry, i know things feel kind of hopeless, but you're only in the middle of the journey right now. it's not over!

I'm sorry you are hurting. I am, too, for similar reasons. I don't have a solution, but hopefully it helps to know that there are others in your same situation.
