I am a white girl, I have very curly hair, it's about shoulder length when curly, is there any option out there for curly haired girls to get thinner hair? I like my curls, but sometimes it gets too poofy on the bottom =[ Thanks!

The first step to great curly hair is a layered cut. Be sure to keep layers relatively long. Layers that are too short can make curls stick up and out.

I have this type of hair too. The solution, like the other people said, is to get layers. Ask for long layers. If you get short layers it will make your hair short and big, but long layers will allow it to lay down. Also, use a lot of mousse, this is what I've found works best for me. It helps it not frizz and poof out so much. If your hair is extremely thick a stylist can use thinning shears to thin it out some. Here is a good web-site for people with curly hair:

Ok i have the curliest hair ever and you definitly dont want it thinner, it will only make it curlier than ever, just put some gel on it and let it be curly, cause the more you do to it makes it dry an frizzy.
Try washing it only once every three weeks and cond it every day.
You can go to naturalycurlyhair.com and they can give you some ideas

definately layers. I am also a white girl with very curly hair and i have my hair in layers and it looks alot thinner and it curls better. I would talk to your hairstylists they should know how to cut it to make it thinner.

try getting it layered, my hair is the same way, it would poof out at the bottom. the layers help thin it out on the bottom and makes the size more even and less poofy

The longer you grow your hair the more weighed down it'll look. A good Hairspray will help too...I like Aussie Sprunch and spray.

Layers, if you have short and long layers, it will look thinner, and fall differently so it doesnt look as poofy and stuk together.

layers, get it thinned, and ask your stylist, personally you might want to gel it when wet like put gel all in your hair so when it curl its not so frizzy, thats what i do
