No silly, it wasn't a chicken. All this time its really been a turkey. And the turkey crossed the road because it was escaping from the chicken farm where they too thought it was a chicken. Sadly, it ended up at the turkey factory where they made him into thanksgiving dinner.
Moral is, don't go to turkey factory around thanksgiving time.
