I have an acquaintance with a wandering eye, I find the best thing to do is focus between the eyes on the bridge of the nose. If they aren't standing too closely, it seems perfectly normal.

It's rude not to look at them. Focus on the eye that is looking at you. It's OK.

you definately look at them...it's rude and ill-mannered not to, because they know why you are NOT looking at them. You look at the eye that doesn't wander.

Look at the eye that is actually looking at you, the steady one. If you are not comfortable with this, try looking at the "bridge" of their nose.

just avoid the whole delimma and watch their mouth as they speak. It's not that far away from staring someone in the eyes and it still appears as if you are interested in them and what they are saying.

I look at the one that is looking at me. Wandering eye in medical terminology is "esotropia" turning in and "exotropia" when it turns out. Strabismus encompasses the muscle disorder.
