Motorcycle/and other small transportation motor mechanics are going to do well in the future as people turn to more efficient mthods of transportation.

Even the fastfood industry has good prospects. True, the entry level jobs don't pay well, but once you are past that hurdle and on to the management track, the money is REAL good. I had a brother in law who was a district manager for a major chain. He supervised just 6 stores, and got a $50,000 bonus one year.

I don't have a degree, and I am in the Call Center industry. I make alot more money than my wife who has a degree in Speech Pathology. Mind you that I do know programs, and I have a lot of experience in Workforce Management, but it defitnely is paying the bills. Even though the job I have now is boring as hell.

Join a construction trade. Trade unions are your best bet. You can earn over $40/hour plus overtime plus benefits (health coverage, pension, annuity). You will have to go through an apprenticeship for 4-5 yrs depending upon the trade. There are unions for carpenters, electicians, plumbers, steamfitters, laborers and more.
I am a member of the local philadelphia steamfitter union
(L.U 420). My total package (wage + benefits) is @ $70hr. Some guys earn $100,000+ per year with overtime, not to mention benefits.

It depends on how skilled you are in something. You don't need a degree to get a great job and lots of money, you just have to be one of the best at what you do.
