u know what, i always ask that question. You see a good looking guy dating a not so beautiful girl (i'd like to refer to them as that, it's harsh to say ugly)...and you see a beautiful girl dating an ugly guy..i just can't help but wonder, why is that??????? (i can refer to guys as ugly, cuz guys r heartless) :)

Its the same for women too. Both sexes may prefer to look at or be with another whom is not attractive and this is because they pose no immediate or long term threat.

that's not always true.
when they do that they have a jealously and ego problem and are thinking the not-so-good-looking women are less apt to cheat on them. But these says there is always cosmetics and cosmetic surgery. So that guy needs to get a grip.

Because they are probably easier to get along with. Women that get a lot of attention for being beautiful can sometimes try to use that to their advantage. Women that don't get a lot of attention for their looks have to rely on other qualities and are (most of the time anyway) way less complicated than the "prettier" girls.

I think its pretty women's personalities that put men off sometimes and any ways I think that is a huge stereo type.
