Really we need to know what kind of glue it is. If it's Gorilla Glue, get out your belt sander because solvents won't touch it. If it's rubber cement, you're in luck.

The goof off and other harsh chemicals may erode the finish on the floor; I would be very careful with solvents. If you know what kind of glue it is, you can search for it and find out how to get it off.

Okay, don't laugh - peanut butter and soft cloth. The oil works away the glue. Goo Gone is good but it reeks and gives me an instant migraine. Good luck.

You need to determine what kind of glue it is. Good old Elmer's can be cleaned up pretty easily. Just get it hot with a hairdryer and wipe.

You should try Goo Gone, it works great getting glue off of hard surfaces, and it smells like citrus too. Most stores sell it, I know that you can find it at Wal-Mart.... Good Luck!

Sorry if you used Goo Gone because that takes stain off. I used it to remove some sticky residue on a kitchen cabinet.......looks VERY BAD now.

We've had great luck using a soft cloth and regular old lighter fluid. It doesn't leave a mark and works with a minimum of rubbing.
