Sounds like the exhaust could be catching on the speed humps. Go and get it checked out before you need a whole new exhaust. Many places do a free check for you.

Good Luck.

PS if you can take a male with you it will be better as unfortunately women still get ripped off by unscrupolus men who work in the car repair business. They may well try encourage you to have a whole exhaust when all you need is a new bracket - be careful.

Well, this could be several things...everyone seems to be keying in on the exhaust, and that's a possibility, but I'd take it to a mechanic and have him also check the rest of the undercarriage, including the front end....a loose tie rod or ball joint can make a clunking noise whenever you hit a bump. Noises on cars can be funny sometimes...they seem to come from one area when they're actually coming from elsewhere. Take it to a good mechanic and have them put it up in the air to check out the whole undercarriage, including front end, exhaust, drive shaft/U-joints, and rear end. Also have them inspect your wheels, tires, brakes, and bearings for loose or broken components.

Hope this helped.

Everyone else has said exhaust but even though yours is quite a new car,it could be a variety of things.Yes exhaust is one of them, but also worn shocks or bushes or track rod ends, something come loose,or even something caught up under the car, although highly unlikely.Take it to one of these exhaust/shock/battery type places as most do a free check.Dont listen to their sales patter, but they may indicate/show you a possible cause and for free,or if you know someone that is a bit of a mechanic, get them to have a look.Hope this helps.I know it might seem a bit vague, but without seeing the car or hearing the noise its hard to be specific

nothing to get worried about, it is probably just the shock absorbers just going back into full stretch after you go off the hump. my astra 2005 does it sometimes after it has been parked up overnight on the street not that that can cause it of course, just get your local garage to check the seals on the absorbers. haha heres an afterthought: get out of your car and press down on all corners of the car so that you are pressing down the shockers then let the car rise on its own, if it makes the same noise you hear after you go over a hump get them checked

Stop if you see a camel. It is cruel to run over them.
