Figs are small a dark violet fruit with a violaceous pulp, it has lots of seeds, when mature its a little squishy, and tates sweet. It grows on large trees called fig trees. A date on the other hand grows on palms (a special kind), and is small and oval shaped, it has a light brown coloring and it has a big seed inside.

Figs contain seeds and dates have stones inside.
Both provide fibre, however it is unwise to eat too many figs they act as a laxative...hence syrup of figs.
Figs grow singularly on large shrubs and dates grown on palm trees in clusters.
