I'm overweight, which I know contributes. Want to avoid surgery which I know is down the road, but are there any exercises that I can do to prolong this?

Before you do anything, you should have the Doctor order a Bi Lateral Mri of your knee. That will show any and all problems with your knees. It is possible that a good cleaning the knee out may be all, worse case scenario, knee replacement. But you may not need any of these things. For every pound you lose, 10 pounds is taken off your knees. I read it in a doctor's office. Don't attempt any exercises without knowing what is wrong with your knee. This could result in further injury.

I too have knee problems. I go a Chiropractor and he gives me an adjustment on my knees. Eventually, if I do not shed some pounds, I may have to have surgery. But until then, my Chiro helps alot.
