I've tried scrubs, pumice stone, and lotion I still have the dry sometimes scaly feet on bottoms only.Toenails look fine no cracks or yellowing because I scrub bed of nail with soap and a washcloth in shower and dry well afterwards. What should I use or should I get it checked out by a family doc. to also maybe rule out toenail fungus.

i have the same thing, the best thing to do is don't scrub and put lotion on it evey single night and put socks on (let your feet be soaked with the lotion) and sleep with it like that evey night for months and your feet will be smooth but its not over yet you still have it the lotion just emough to keep a clean & smooth looking for some amount of time but you should go to a specail care place for that.

Athletes foot itches like crazy. You don't have little tiny pits in the skin with a little dark center, do you? If so, it might be plantar warts. I worked for a podiatrist (a doc that specializes in treating feet) and he would dispense a really effective cream for extremely dry soles and our patients just raved about it. I bet if you check with your M.D. he will know about it and be willing to write you a prescription.

It may not be athletics foot it could just be overly dry skin. try a better lotion , or foot lotion, keep rubbing in, if real dry it will take time for your skin to get smooth. and if you arent satisfied after a few days then see a Dr.

Have you been wearing sandals and flops with no sides and backs all summer? I read that causes the edges to dry out, so you could start covering them as someone else already said. Mine are the same way.
