You can approach this several ways. Ginko Biloba capsules help with mental activity especially concentration. Complex B-vits help transform food into energy. Your brain needs energy to work of course.
I've used the ginko and it really does work. If stress is an issue, try fluoxitine (Prozac). It helps me in day to day stress as my job is the heavy pressure type. Most health plans cover it. Costs me just $10 a month. You don't have to be crazy to take it. It just takes the edge off things.
Good Luck

Here is a great practice and one that's been around for over 3000 years. take ten minutes a day to do this.first get a candle, get a alarm and set it for ten mi. now watch the flame and keep your mind only on the candle. When your mind thinks of something else then on a piece of paper make a mark to keep track of how many times your mind wanders. Don't worry about how many times it wanders just be happy you are making yourself stronger

For doing important work I try to stay in a quiet place away from distractions. If that isn't possible than find a fun way to stay focused. If you have to do something boring it is easier to get off task.
