1st, DONT sit in a sauna like that. The only thing you'll lose is water = dehydration.
I agree with the first answerer. RUN!! RUN!! RUN!! Give up your car till you get in. Go EVERYWHERE by foot or bicycle. You'll hate it at first; but then, you'll get addicted. You'll absolutely LOVE 2 run and even feel disappointed when you cant (weather or whatever)!!!!!!!! Discipline, Diligence, Determination, Persistence. Dont let your body whimp you out, either. If you can talk and you havent puked, you can keep running, regardless of how fatigued you feel. Really, I know it sounds extreme; but it is oh so true. And afterwards, your body will reward you. You'll feel invigorated and energized--not to mention proud of yourself for pushing yourself PAST your perceived limits! : )
Also avoid high fat foods. It is impossible to eliminate fat from your diet, thankfully as some is ness. to proper body functioning. However, if you approach your diet with the mindset to avoid as much fat (especially saturated and trans fats) as possible coupled with the running and good hydration, you'll be in good shape soon.

You can lose 2 pounds of body fat per week on a good low fat diet. Include exercise, and it could be up to 7 pounds.
There are chemical ways to lower your body fat, but do you want to punish yourself in basic training? You will go in weak.
Also, your body fat does vary a lot, you might have just picked a bad day. When can you re-enlist?

easy, lose weight by eating less, to lower body fat, eat less of saturated fat, high protein foods, exersise , turn fat into energy thus into muscle, to be in any military you need to be fit, not muscle bound, you need stamina, lots of cardio vascular exersise ,fast walks ,short sprints ,circuit training, start off with a three mile walk at a fast pace ,walk as quick as you can without looking silly, carry a rutsack with weight in it about 20 kilo to start and build up your walks and weights that you carry , drink plenty of fluid on your march, stay away from high sugar foods, banana is good, lots of potassium and they are a slow release energy food, dont eat late night snacks, doing push ups is not an indicator of fitness, marching forty two mile and then fight a intense sustained battle, thats fighting fit. keep away from food supplements, steroids, any drug that will stop you reaching your goal, and i include alcohol. best of luck regards LF

The are many ways to burn fat, but the best way is by running (on a treadmill if you want). You can also lose weight by eating normally (not eating what is not necessary).
If you want to see if you are to fat for your body check your IBM.

try to have a little lean protein with each meal as protein tends to be more satisfying than carbs or fats
