Kids love pictures, especially of themselves. Have an area for pictures of your kids perhaps doing something related to fall. (On a "nature hike" outside in the yard, making decorations for fall, etc.)
Pictures of new backpacks, books, colouring pencils, falling leaves, leaves changing colour, etc.

You can use school buses and take their pictures abd paste those pictures onto the school busses, or same for fall leaves. Go to wal-mart and buy material that can be used for a back ground with a school theme or fall theme. When I worked with the kids in my church they loved seeing their pictures on the board. Most of your kids I say are not into reading yet since its a day care, but if you wanted to title it you might use Mrs. ? daycare kids. Not sure right off on some titles, but I am sure you can think of some.

I think sayings is a great idea. Go to the Frame-a-Quote web site: http://www.initforlife.com/home/frames.asp
Many, many wonderful sayings there and you can print them in beautiful color frames of your choice on your printer. All free.
