Probably, but it depends on how you set up your travel arrangements. Most places and tourist companies wil refund most of your money (often minus a deposit), or give you credit for another trip. Very few will give you back all of your cash unless you, for instance, booked your hotels on your own and can still cancel.

I recommend contacting your travel agent, tour coordinator, or airlines/hotels to find their policies.

Hope this helps!

Hey, as stated PV seldom gets hit by Hurricanes because they are in the center of the Bay of Banderas. Now, a few years ago they did get hit pretty hard, lots of storm surge into the downtown shops some hotels had water damage and wind and water damage up the coastline. Trust me, they do everything possible to get back on line ASAP, they are entering the High season where everyone makes $$. They want you in PV and most hotels will work with you. PV enjoyed record growth the last couple years and see themselves as the Pacific Rivera, many newcomers last year because of the hurricane damage to the Cancun area. Its a tourist market and they know that, have fun.....

You should always take vacations insurances. But, I live here and we got NADA from Hurricane John. no rain, no wind. We have beautiful sunshine with very little clouds right now. This bay rarely gets hit. Keep your plans as they are and enjoy your vacations. You'll have a blast.

That's why we moved back here after 2 years in Cancun. we got fed up with the hurricanes there.

You obviously haven't been in Mexico after a hurricane. Destroyed? Very rare. Mexicans are very used to this weather and have their resort towns rebuilt in days....it is their livelihood after all. Look at Cancun from last year....you can hardly tell there was a hurricane.

Have fun in Puerto Vallarta! Hurricane season is almost over and most importantly, whenever there's one of those, they hardly make it that far.

PV very seldom gets hit by hurricanes. In fact, I am not sure if it ever took a dirrect hit. There are two very tall mountain ranges on the north and south of PV and they seem to deflect the worst of the weather away.

Check the cancellation policy at your hotel. If you cancel early enough, they might refund your money. As for the airline tickets...not sure. Check with the airline on that one. Good luck!
