OMG...I am having the same problem. I used to live in MI, and moved to NC, and I still like this guy who lives in MI. Don't listen to all those other people, listen to your heart. If you really like this guy, and if he likes you, then distance does not matter. Can you drive? You could go to see him, or he could come to see you, and you could stay in touch with letters and phone calls and email.

Long distance relation sips don't work too often. Call the guy up and let him know how you feel. Be open and honest. It may not work out, but at least you won't ever have the what ifs!

Find somebody that's close to you. Unless you had a relationship before the move it's very unlikely you could create a good one now.

Do you have his number,e-mail add or what ever to connect with him? If you have it then go don't waste your time,but remember it won't be easy to have a long distance relationship,assess your self first if you are ready to take to whatever outcome it may be..Goodluck=)

Cover all bases. Keep in touch with him but keep your eye out for anyone else that you might fancy that is closer to home. If that doesn't work out shift and follow him.

What you should do is be in communication and constant touch with him, if you like him and he likes you, who knows, destiny is a great thing to behold, you guys might be together someday.

find another guy, unless you think this guy might be the one. In that case why did you move? I'd say find a local guy, I'm sure there are plenty.
