Absolutely! Ask him if he would be interested in getting together for a cup of coffee or tea sometime? What's the worst case scenerio? He'll say No or not interested. And your life will go on...and...on and....on. Trust me I've had many no's in my life and I'm still alive. Yes, it's true I'm a guy but so what. Women are in combat now, so what's the big fear about asking a guy out??? Goodness, no wonder so many women end up with jerks because they wait and wait for some one to ask them out and settle for that person because they fear no one else will ask them out again.
