So if a girl(age near 20) has a ring on wedding finger,how can we know if she is engaged or just wears a ring?

I use to wear my college ring on my wedding finger- which is tradition. My ring was gold with an onyx in it so people use to ask me if It was a wedding ring or what it was. I would just bring it up in light conversation- like how "that's a pretty ring, is it vintage?"
Most woman like to talk about jewelry LOL

A ring on the wedding ring finger means they are promised in some way (marriage, engaged, probably still maried, friendship ring, wearing ring while boyfriend is away at school). Some females wear a ring to deter relationships.

Woman are not supposed to wear any kind of a ring on their wedding finger until they are engaged or married... well at least from like 18 and up, I think!

Yes yes yes if a girl wears a ring on her left hand, and its the ring finger you can bet that she is either married, or does not want to be approached right now.
Girls do this from time to time especially if they are not ready to date speak of dating or just are not interested. But more often then not they are married or commited to someone. Leave her alone you don't want to be responsible for causing trouble. If you see she isn't wearing the ring one day you might mention it, but if she wears all the time, look at someone else's hand please.

you can usually tell by what kind of ring she has on, but to get out of the doubt you can always aske her. Just say oh thats a nice ring is it your wedding ring?

Usually if you have a ring on the wedding finger, you are promised, if it's a promise ring, or engaged. Doesn't matter your age I guess. Within reason.

Engagement rings usually look differemt from wedding bands, and it doesn't matter if your ring is silver or gold. Ask her to be sure.

Maybe it's a "true love waits" ring or her grandmother's wedding band or something like that. Just ask casually. Don't say "You're NOT married, I hope?!?" Ask her if she's married, but act like you're not just asking because you want to date her. You might try asking her how long she's been married, or something like that.

Just say, "Oh, that's a nice ring. Is it a wedding ring?" And she'll probably respond with yes or "No, it's a ...." and then you'll know.
