We have been socialized in this culture not to find fat attractive.

Because most men prefer women to look fragile and womanly. A guy doesn't typically want a woman that is shaped boxy like a man or bigger than himself.
It's also partially genetic/instinctual. A man's survival instincts draw him to women that are healthy because they appear to have better genes to pass on to his children. This is also why men tend to look at younger women. Women's eggs are on a timer. As a woman gets older she is more likely to give birth to a child with defects. Men on the other hand stay fertile.
I feel bad saying it. I don't want to make you feel bad. On the other hand though people can control their weight so it's a decision. It's not the same as pointing out a flaw someone can not change.

Definitely.....the image society place on females that affect the perception of male desires.
Back in old days, big girls were considered wealthy and desirable so big girls were very popular.
These days, big girls are portrayed very differently and as a result, guys are attracted to skinnier females a lot more then larger females.

I'm not exactly sure, but I've dated a big guy once and I still like him!And I'm not fat whatsoever, but I don't care about being big or fat because he still looks good in those pants!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!

Not all guys do. Some men love to have a woman who has something to hold on to and they may also feel intimidated by them.
