Yes but that is ridiculous. A 15 yr olds hormones are still settling down and the pill overrides their natural rhythms completely. It should only be used when necessary. If she wants to protect her, buy a pack of condoms.

Probably not, but it's difficult to say. What Mom ought to do, is HER job, and continue to tell daughter that pregnancy is the least of her worries (although a big one to be sure). The threat of AIDS is far more frightening, but no less serious than an unwanted pregnancy. And frankly, the Pill isn't going to stop any STD form occurring.

I can understand your mom wants to protect you but pills are not 100% effective. If you do not want to get pregnant...just do not have sex till you are over 18. Keep your head in those school books.

Yes. Your doctor will prescribe birth control to your daughter even if she isnt sexually active. Birth control helps alot with cramps, regulating periods, as well as lightening the bleeding. I know alot of girls 13-14 (same age as my younger sister) who are on the pill. I hope they arent sexually active at that age but its better to get her on it before she starts having sex. BETTER SAFE THEN SORRY!

Yes, as long as she wants to have it and you agree. I was 15 when I started on the pill.

As for it I agree and think your doing a good job as a mother getting her on it and yes a DR will prescribe it! I think its good you have an open relationship with your daughter and it helps regulate her period acne ect. Nowadays girls are sexually active sooner and sooner

yes.. especially if you have problems with you r monthly.. ( or who ever is getting the bc...) if she tells the doc she has a very heavy flow.. or horrible cramps... typically birth control will help withthose problems.. but i really am not sure if the doc is just told because " when it happens.. i want her to be protected.." i dont know if that is a lagit excuse..
