some people are very selfish but not all ... it feels great when you forgive others before you forgive yourself
actually , we should never judge others before judging ourselves

It's like that verse in the bible, do not point out that speck in your brother's eye before having removed the log from your own... People just don't look and judge themselves in the same manner as others. It's terrible but it's a human fault some people try to work out or forces the more religious to stop pointing the fault in others.

I don't think that they "forgive" their own faults. Forgiveness requires repentence and the resolve not to repeat that fault.
I think instead of "forgive" in that sentence there should be "justify", as in: making something unjust appear just. Then you can justify what you are doing and merrily pick on others who are must be "evil" by your standards.

It is not a question of them forgiving themselves. A person that truly learns to forgive themselves has learned to forgive others as well. Those who are unforgiving of others are criticizing the faults they see in themselves but are trying to ignore.

If we want to be forgiven in Christ, we have to forgive others, that is the written word, and Gods law.

Because sometimes when someone hurts you it takes a long time to heal. Plus, it is human nature to be judgmental of others and to defend yourself.
