Check Craigs List for rentals in Manhattan.

Some private parties make rooms available in their homes/apartments. I found someone with an apartment quite some time ago who would rent to me for about $75.00 a day. West Side near Central Park. Good luck

Hi! If you are a student on a tight budget you will like

If you want sth more, get a room for $110 in the

Both places are very safe , but also very busy. Call in advance.
Big apple is a typical hostel, a bit dungy, but the price is exceptional, while St James offers a bit more comfort for a double price. You get what you pay for. I've stayed at both-if you have someone to share a room go to StJames. If you don't-then Big Apple is the best choice for you. Both are in the heart of Manhattan, close to Times Square!
Enjoy your stay!
