Each heartbreak was a different experience all togethor, every time it happened it was due to different circumstances, the pain lingered on even in the light of perspective which comes with time. Yes your heart can and will break more than once and it will hurt to a degree and magnitude as unique as the person involved.
To quote a famous author,
"In every mans life there is THE WOMAN" usually referring to the first heartbreak they experience. Typically that is supposed to be the deepest cut of them all, I find that to be somewhat of an overstatement, love is inextricably bound to hope and that is the loss that I've felt as deeply as the heartbreak itself. I've loved and lost and moved on, without callousness, marking each loss for the tragedy it was, dreams I'd dared to dream and now living each day without ever haing seen them come to life in light of day.
If you love deeply you will hurt and plummet to those same depths into despair. Speaking as one who never gave his heart away casually and, realising what a rare and wonderful gift love is...and just how fleeting it can be, never taking it for granted and surrendering to it completely. If you love only a little how little will you mourn it's loss, don't be like so many others and live behind walls and give only out of what you can spare, hiding behind the pain another has caused, if you love someone, do it boldly, without shame and realise that yes, someone else will break your heart, sometimes never knowing, sometimes only to spare themselves but don't blame that feeling of love itself and don't run from it.
I've felt heartache and the pain it visits upon you, each one in turn a hurt no less painful than the other however, it's a part of life, it's made me who I am, and I wouldn't trade the bad times or the heartache for anything, they make you or break you, and I'm better for all that's come and gone in my life.
So specifically YES your heart can break more than once and
NO the ones that came after were no less painful and I wouldn't dishonor love in a way that rated it's loss by degrees.

My first love broke my heart and it took years to heal. Then, when I married my husband it lasted just 4 years when I applied for a divorce. It upset me, but it was nothing like the first time.
As you grow older and less vulnerable - the pain of a broken heart lessons. You become wiser and more worldly and you learn how to put up that barrier in which separates you from becoming hurt again.

Depends on the level of emotion put into the relationship on how hard it breaks.
You can experience multiple breaks and they can be just as bad as the first. Some people don't experience one as bad as the first because they don't let their emotions get that deep into the relationship due to their first heart break.

My heart is in a million pieces and it has hearts equal each time. I'm just hardened to it. The pain is still as deep, but I'm just more prepared I guess.

After the first one you know what to expect so it doesn't seem so severe.
