I have 3 craters in them big enough to stick my thumb in and they fill with what looks like cottage cheese but its just alot of white blood cells or at least thats what the doctor says. I have only been seeing my family doctor about them, and he always says that theres not enough of them to remove. I had to go to internet schooling because I was missing so much school over them. Last year I was sick over them 11 times and everytime i get sick with them even with a penicellian shot it takes 6-11 days for me to get better. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I think you have Leptothrix of the tonsils. See an ENT man.

Ack! I have this problem too! The cottage cheese stuff, my doctor told me was just stuff like extra bacteria and food residue. Did your doctor tell you you had cryptic tonsils? I keep getting sick, too, and they just told me to clean my tonsils with a water pik. My tonsils are huge, too! Sometimes I can't swallow b/c they touch, but they just tell me that the days of removing tonsils for anything and everything are over, and that even removing them might not stop my getting throat infections.
Anyway, my boss told me to go see an older doctor, one who remembers when they used to just take them out.
My doctor told me to:
Clean my tonsils with a water pik (she says that sometimes that white stuff is particles of food that got stuck in there and then they rot and you get sick)
Take loratadine OTC (it's the generic Claritin, you can get it near the tylenol and stuff) I guess that helps there not be so much drainage in your throat.

Drink Tropicana Grovestand Orange Juice to keep your immune system charged.

That stuff is a miracle cure for anything.

Go to an ear/nose/throat specialist, please, right now! You deserve better treatment than this. Til you get there, drink your juice, gargle with warm salt water, take vitamins.
