There is no such thing. as gay marriage....Marriage is defined as a union blessed by God between a man and a woman, so anything involving same sex is NOT marriage. It's an abomination.

i dont understand why gay people marrying affects peoples lives so much. gay couples are so respectful and i have never seen one gay couple flaunting it in the streets. but i have seen hundreds of straight people all over each other, even having sex in public.
lets think about an abusive man and an alcoholic woman getting married. they have a child. the child is abused and hated for most of its life up until the father takes off. how do those two people get the right to marry and hurt a child like that, when two gay people who would love a child unconditionally don't?
i fully support gay marriage.

Gay marriage is the only way to preserve the institution. Gay couples are around, they are raising children, most of them are seen as committed, loving and monogamous. When such couples live among the general population but are not allowed to marry, then the rest of the straight world will begin to see marriage as hollow.
I don't think that the churches have fully considered the implications of their actions in preventing all gay people from marrying. If a particular church or denomination wants to preserve religious marriage it performs for 2-gender couples, that's fine, but for the rest of the population, preventing gay people who love one another from marrying strips marriage itself of its present day meaning.

I don't agree with marriage in general.....perhaps it has something to do with my past history with it, but regardless that doesn't matter.
If onbe group is allowed to marry and another group is not allowed to marry...I think their is a problem. And here's a piece of insight....some people scream that marriage is a uniion overseen by God...umm, why then is marriage only legal once the marriage certificate is signed by a Judge and not a minister?
Why not equality to all?
My solution---either allow any and all to marry or deny marriage to any and all.
Why must only legally married couples have the option of reduced insurance coverages to their bed buddy?

I completely oppose gay marriage. I hear talk about how they should have the right to marry, but I tell you...they do have the right to marry...someone of the opposite sex. If we go into the concepts of having the right to marry whoever you want then might I suggest these allowances as well...
A person should be able to marry their son/daughter if both of them want to marry each other. Who are we to deny them their right?
A person should be able to marry a young child...even 7 or 8 years old...so long as they both agree. After all, love does not recognize age, correct?
A person should be allowed to marry their pet (but please, no fooling around before marriage...tee hee!) allowing the pet all the rights that a marriage would allow (joint tax filing even...yippee!)
A person should be allowed to marry a picture they drew...so long as the picture does not oppose the marriage!
A person should be allowed to mary as many people, places, or things as they desire. After all, who are we to deny someone their right to be happy in marriage?
And perhaps I want to marry YOU! **points straight out the monitor at you** Who are you to deny me the right to marry you, even if you don't want to marry me?
I know those points take things way out of line, and they are exagerated on purpose. But really...why should anyone decide who I can not marry? And why should I not get a few extra tax breaks by marrying my dog, a picture of a cloud I drew, and the Empire State Building?

I support it in the aspect that people have the right to get married, and live their lifes as homosexual couples lawfully., i believe that that is an unalienable right that should go right along with the freedom of religion, that was established long ago in our country. i also think it goes along with the right to pursue happiness.. The fact that homosexuality, and homosexual marrages, do not neccesarily harm, or impend upon anyone elses rights. gives the government no reason to deny the people of this choice. However, personally, it is not a choice i would make.

I think gays should marry if they want to ... the only benefit in it being, well benefits i.e. medical, dental, etc. through the spouse. It is the only benefit of marriage for gays or straights for that matter.

I feel it is between a man and women only, doesn't mean I'm against gays. But the marriage between 2 same sexes I don't believe in.

I've heard of gay couples who have been together for 20 years and hurting no one.

Why are you so worried about it?
when I am disturbed, it is because i find some person, place, thing or situation-some fact of life- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what need to be changed in me and in my attitudes,
