I don't know who told you the urge only lasts 26 seconds but they are definitely wrong. Go to AA meetings, you will meet people who have been right where you are and can help you, get their numbers so you can call them when the urges arise and start working the program. If you need help immediately try looking up alcoholism on the search engine and they will give you some links to live chat rooms where you can go and ask whatever you want and they will do whatever they can to help you. Remember that they know exactly how you feel because they have been there.

I've heard recovering alcoholics say that the only thing you have to change about your life is everything to stop drinking.
This probably implies you need some help from AA or whatever works for you if you're really serious.

I would say to drink something absolutely horrible like MadDog 20/20 or Piels Malt Liquor. These ware so bad they'll make you never want to take a sip of alcohol again!!!

Do you really think asking this questions to a bunch of bored strangers will cure you? Go see a doctor or look up AA for their next meeting.
