I can't say I know anyone who has. Most Arab Catholics that I know are extremely proud of their religion, and defensive of their minority rights. Although they have respect for their muslim neighbours, to give in to the majoritarian Islam and the pressure to convert is seen as a kind of surrender.

That's why the conversion rates of traditional Arab Catholics in places like Jordan, Iraq, or Lebanon are quite low. If anything, these people tend to move to the west to preserve their religious rights rather than let the violence in the area cause them to convert.

Yes shojib12, the most alike religions are Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. All of those were religions from God but as muslims we beleive that their books (Bible and Torah) were altered in time.

I have a lot of friends that are now muslims who were at one time catholics. The difference in them I think is the level of self-esteem. I think they're happier because they've found themselves and they're living a happier life all in all. it's all individual but all of it is positive.
