B.C. pills do alter you hormone so they can have an affect on your temperament. if you have mild/moderate depression, See a psychologist. it helps to talk with someone. if they feel it is a chemical imbalance of some sort, they can prescribe something. many good things out there to help depression and anxiety type disorders. you'll be much happier in the long run.

Im just guessing, but i would say yes. Birth control pills have to do with hormones, and some mild types of depression are caused by hormones, so i would assume it would be a possiblility to balance out your hormones. Sorry i couldnt be of more help :)!!!

I guess it varies person to person, but I was on birth control pills for 2 years after my son was born, and after I got off them, I noticed that I felt better in general, happier, less PMS, more energy, etc. But that might just be me. Not going back on the pill, though.......

Yes they can, a friend of mine had depression as a side effect from her birth control pills. Go to www.drugdigest.com in the tool bar to the left type what you are taking and find out ,then please go and see your Dr.

No birth control may actually worsen or add to depression. Talk to your doctor about it if that is something you are suffering from. Read your label also because that is just one possible side affect.

anti depressants haven't any consequence on your pill. i'm on zoloft and ativan... the only element I even have ever been advised is antibiotics are the only issues that decrease the consequence of the pill.

I would not think so, unless your depression is a result of a hormonal imbalance. As you doctor.
