Why is it that the topic of religion always attracts weirdos in the droves?

Two reasons:
1) You can't attack a religion without sounding sadistic.
2) You can't defend your religion without sounding deluded.

People into religion are always full on into it and so it is easy to offend and annoy them, this is why the weirdos come out and get crazy, i don't agree with it myself.

I think it's got a lot to do with one's native language. If this happens to be English people seem unable to talk about it without frothing at the mouth. Every else the raving Christians are resigned to the fact that they are a pitied minority and tend to keep their ravings to themselves which, in turn, seems to keep the other crowd reasonably sane.

Religion either attracts those seeking it or those that truly believe it and want to share it. If that is weird....
I think everyone fits into one of those catergories no matter what they say. Everyone wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves.
