it depends on the person. Though as I whole, I don't think people can be monogamous, I don't see how one can promise that they're going to feel the same way forever. People change, relationships change, feelings change.

I believe that we, humans can be monogomous if we choose to. Some of us don't want to be and some do. It's more like a personal choice and doesn't have anything to do with natural.

Some people can be monogomous and others cannot. I can. I cannot imagine being with more than one person at a time.

It's a matter of impulse control. Monogamy is about love and respect for the person you are with. I am married and love my wife dearly. I would never consider being unfaithful to her. However, should my opinion change then it would be time to re-evaluate my relationship. Trust, respect, and monogamy are the foundation love is built on. I do not see how people cannot be monogamous and maintain a healthy relationship, but this is just a matter of my own personal viewpoint. Each person must make choices based on their own view. There is not anything in our makeup which forces us to be unfaithful, it is just a choice we make.

Monogamy is a matter of chioce and discipline. Indeed various things suggest that, as a survival technique, we were somewhat programmed to be promiscuous. Back in cave-man days that was necessary to assure diversity and survivial perhaps. But today things have changed. In order to assure best success for "your DNA" it is much better to have a stable family so your children can thrive. Children in one parent or "broken" homes tend to not excel more often than not. Men who go from woman to woman aren't doing the required followup to ensure their children do well. Women who go from man to man aren't providing the right example & atmosphere to ensure their children get the best they can.

Why do you ask? Feeling a bit... promiscuous?

God created Adam and Eve as a monogamous couple. Marriage has always been intended to be a monogamous relationship. God has always intended that men and women should NOT have multiple sex partners.

From the beginning, God created us to be monogamous. One man one woman. So of course we can... some people choose not to be and their excuse is that we werent meant to be monogamous. I can show you from the bible why we were created to be so..... can you show me how we arent meant to be?
