It depends what you are after. FHA (home mortgages) like a rating of 620 or above to qualify at all. Overall 600 is not an overly good score, it's considered in the Poor>Fair category. I got a couple of unsecured credit cards with a score in the 589 range a few years ago .. but not great interest rates .. 14.9-18.9%

600 actually is a fair score

You want to be in the 660-720 range for an average to good score. Great would be any thing over 720

It's not bad...but it could be MUCH better. I've known people who have credit rating as high as 825. Anything over 700 is considered to be excellent credit, while anything below 570 is considered to be below average. The worst scores I've heard about are in the 400's.

No it really isn't...700 is good ...800 is perfect...if you pay debts that have went to collection it really doesn't help your score much...make sure you tell the collectors you will pay your debt if it is removed from your credit...there are a million reasons you can give to the credit agency to remove a blemish as long as you pay it...but make sure if you are planning to pay old debt you at least try to have it removed from your credit and not just have it show up as paid...good luck I think everyone els in the world is in the same boat..

600 is considered between "poor" and "fair", though leaning more towards fair. 620 is fair, 658 is the national average, I think. (either that or 678, now i'm blanking.)

Over 700 is where you can confidently say you have good credit.

It's okay. Not great but ok. in the 500's is not so hot, and 800 I believe is the tops. (maybe 750)

it's not poor but i wouldn't say it's that good. you probably wouldn't be able to get any prime credit cards.
