In many places this is considered animal cruelty and you can call the police. There was a woman where I live who is getting 90 days in jail for leaving a cat inside her car for three days. Last year this same woman killed her dog by leaving it in a hot car. If the animals appear to be suffering, it is considered cruelty and the cops will intervene to either force the owners to remove the dogs or break a window if the owners can't be found.

What a horrible cruel woman she is, the temperature inside a car is totally different to the temperature outside the car, if its hot out then you just add about another 10 to 15 degrees onto the outside temperature and that's how hot it is in a car with the poor dogs sat on the inside of it, its like been in a pressure cooker for the poor dogs and you should never leave them in the car at anytime, its cruel, I would have just picked the phone up and reported her to the police, how dare she just brush it off and say there fine and they get pampered at home, so what sort of excuse is that hey, my dog is totally pampered and that is why I would never leave her locked in a car for anyone or anything, people who do that to dogs are more than irresponsible.

the proper thing to do is let the owners of the outcome if they leave them in the hot car even though the windows maybe cracked open, but a car can get at least 15-20 degrees hotter inside than outside. if that does not work and they leave them in the car then you will have no choice but to call animal control and let them know that some people left their dogs in a hot car and that the dogs don't have any water. good luck

Call the police or animal control. Depending on what area you're in- animal control can issue tickets.
Personally (I would never advise this), but if that lady was being such a b**** about her "dog being pampered at home"- I would break her window to let the dog breathe. I can't buy that this dog is "pampered" unless she thinks torture is pampering. I'd have told her you can't pamper a dog if it died from heat exhaustion in your stupid (luxury no doubt) car because you wanted to do a craft in a store- leave the damn dog at home or give it to someone that will truly love it!!
But that's just me- I hate ignorance and especially involving animals and kids that really can't defend themselves from stupid owners/parents.

I would call the cops! I would never ever leave my dog in a hot car with the windows cracked for any amount of time. I have gone in the store only to stay maybe ten minutes and come back and the temperature will be 112 sometimes. That lady must be insane.

refuse her the class..simple as that. tell her if she continues to leave the dogs in the heat you will report her to the rspca. Its against the law. Call the police. dont give her the money back on the class as its like cancelling at the last minute. dcould shenot leave the dogs at home.....this is exactly the sort of attitude that needs to stop, some people are so dense

I have 2 old english sheepdogs who love to go in the car but i wont let them when its hot and sunny . I got a great dog sign off ebay, it shows an o.e.s and says in big red letters ---'' for dogs sake, dont let them bake, 15 minutes is all it takes.'' for a dog to die from heat stroke. I've had a lot of people remark on it, and it reminds other people who may be tempted to leave their dogs in a car, NOT TO, maybe one in the shop window would do the trick for you. Its a suttle hint, make sure she sees it, if that doesn't work then report her, she does not deserve to have animals.

In a situation like this you can call 911. This is an emergency. The dispatchers can call the animal control division and they should respond immediately. The citation (quite a hefty one I might add) should motivate the owner to leave the dogs home when she is going out. In most states it is illegal to leave a pet in that type of environment. This has been done at my place of work.

have you ever left your canine interior the vehicle, or is there any reason which you ever might? definite I do... if it somewhat is sunny or heat in any respect I leave the vehicle working and air con on and use my vehicle-locks to fasten the canine interior the vehicle. If it somewhat is somewhat warm, they stay residing house. and that they only stay interior the vehicle if i'm working to envision the mail, right into a convienence keep to %. something up... on no account longer than 5 minutes at a time. i've got not got a tiny breed that i will carry with me everywhere, and that i've got not got a handbag my eighty pound pit bull can slot in :D How many times do your canine incorporate you interior the motor vehicle? virtually every time i'm basically going out for some issues, or going everywhere close to the canine park... we continuously end on the canine coastline or canine park jointly as we are out for a force. How many times do you notice somebody's canine left in a vehicle? somewhat many times... I broke somebody's vehicle window as quickly as to get a canine in misery out (i became an AC officer then)... they left the canine for extra beneficial than an hour interior the sunny vehicle parking zone, as quickly as we could no longer discover them interior the mall and that they did no longer respond to pages on the loud speaker, we broke the window. have you ever carried out something once you have seen a canine in a vehicle? See above. i do no longer artwork as an animal administration officer now... yet i might call the present one, or the police. it somewhat is animal cruelty here and the proprietors could be charged.
