I think what it is that when you were cleaning out your ears you were doing it to hard and hit the part of your ear drum. I know how feel b/c ears used to hurt. But there something you can get it's like this syrup called "sweet oil" and you put some of that down your ear and put a cotton ball over inside your ear if your gonna lay down.

Extract 1 teaspoon juice from mango leaves. Slightly warm and use as ear drops for ear infection.
Make garlic oil: chop 1-2 bulbs of fresh garlic. Place the garlic in a double boiler, and cover with an inch of olive oil. Cover the pot, and warm the oil gently over low heat for one hour.
Strain the oil through a piece of cheesecloth, and store it in a covered glass jar in the refrigerator. To use the garlic oil, place a small amount in a metal spoon and heat it gently over a flame until warm.

Suction the oil up into an ear dropper, place a couple of drops into each ear canal, and plug the canal with a soft cotton ball. Repeat this every hour or as needed. Do not use garlic oil to treat an external ear infection or if you suspect a punctured eardrum

Its most likely an ear infection, there are ear drops for that but i dont know if you can get them without prescription.

If it was because you hit sth when you were cleaning your ear it woudlnt take a night to feel the pain, it would hurt like hell on contact. :)

If your ear hurts, you really should go to the doctor. There's not much you can do besides take some aspirin. If you damaged your ear by cleaning it, you are not cleaning your ear correctly.

You should put some sweet oil in your ear. After you put it in your ear place a cotton ball in it. that should help a lot until you are able to go to the doctor.

I think it's tea tree oil (or maybe just tree oil) that you can put in your ears to help with an infection. Ask when you get to the pharmacy, they'll know what you're asking about.
