No. Being human means needing time to be alone, to regenerate.

May I be honest? If you are glad to get away from your church, that church isn't alive in the spirit of Jesus Christ. My church teaches from the word of God day in and day out; and you can feel the holy spirit so much there. I think a church like that makes a big difference, especially if you're in a bible study.
But I'm in bible study from October to May, our women's ministry, and in the summers, I don't do a bible study at the church, usually on my own. But I always go to church on Sundays.
I don't mean to criticize you for what you're saying, my point is...if the church really spoke to you..and was alive with the spirit of Jesus, I think you would want to hang around more.

Look being a christian doesn't mean that you have to go to church all the time. The only thing about church is the place is a social gathering. All you need is a good bible and your faith and a friend every now and again. The bible doesn't say that church is required!

The most spiritual people I know do not attend church. The kindest Christians I know...(the kind that will give you the shirt off their back and their last dollar) do not attend, nor are affiliated with any church. I don't think it's wrong. Many churches have a lot of baggage. Many churches have more gossip, more coveting, and more adulterers than a group of atheist. (and that's saying something)

i totally understand you. I'm not a huge fan of church, partly because I go to a church with a huge congregation and I feel like most of them are hypocrites. And its true, it really basically is a social gathering. All you need is God in your heart. Going to church just gives your the oppurtunity to praise Him with other people.

God does not require us to go to church. You don't ever have to go and can still go to heaven. As long as you Love, Believe, and have faith in god, and also try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, then you have a place in heaven. I see church as an opportunity to learn more, and as a place to discuss things you don't understand about the bible. Also a place for you to relate with people who have the same beliefs as you.

no matter what we do ( good deeds) or how much we go to church does not matter to God, he sent his only son
to die for our sins & we could NEVER repay him for that
Yes, God also mentions in the bible that we should go to
church & be amongst other Christians
I thinks as long as he is in your heart, mind & soul your
missing church once in a while is NOT a big deal
take care

Take a Sabbath break with your family (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset). You can simply rest and meditate on the things on creation and read God's word if you'd like.

Perhaps you need to find another church.
His Word says Do not forsake the assembling of the saints.
We gather together to worship God corporately and to support and exhort one another in Christian love. We're going to spend eternity with them so we had better be able to get along with them. :>
