I've heard a lot of good stuff about got2be creame pomade, and I like the price, but I don't want to get something that sucks and have wasted $6 on it. So is American Crew Fiber worth twice as much?

It depends on what you are looking for.
American Crew adds a lot of texture and body to your hair, if that's what you want, a dressing, it's perfect. I like the forming cream. I never used it for any kind of hold.
"got2be glued" spiking gel is the hold that I use, when I want, in their words, "screaming hold". I don't have beef with either.
There is no battle. This is a capitalist economy. There's different stuff, you buy what works.

YES!!! besides the hold, control and the way it distributes thru wet-ish hair, the greatest thing about fiber is that it RINSES out completely without the need for shampoo so there's absolutely no buildup. i've used TIDE laundry soap and couldn't get other stuff off the hair. just make friends with a hairdresser and thy can get it for you at cost( at least half off retail). i do it for my friends all the time.
PS lots of times you can get it on sale anyway!
